Flame Lillies are the National Flower of Zimbabwe. Such a beautiful flower and one that evokes so many childhood memories for me.

SHAMVA HUTS

1m x 650. This painting is inspired by the beautiful little huts and villages I passed on a trip to visit someone in a rural area of Zimbabwe.

BANANA LEAVES

1m x 1m. Mixed media on canvas. Another beautiful hand of bananas has just come off this tree and now it just has to stand up to the lashing rain and wind in Cape Town for a bit longer! I’m always so surprised that it seems happy here.

Thanks to Gabrielle Boiselle for her permission to use her photograph as inspiration. The Bedouins of North Africa pay tribute to the beauty of their horses by adorning them with jewellery.
